
DEEPCLIMATE


DeepClimate - Braziliand Science and Technology for Climate is a structuring initiative designed to ensure that solutions developed by Brazilian climate deeptechs reach technical maturity and market adoption — ultimately contributing to the country’s climate mitigation and adaptation goals.
At the national level, the initiative builds an ecosystem of strategic actors, combining technical assistance with qualified connections among academia, the private sector, public institutions, and investors. This integration bridges the gap between the impact innovation ecosystem and the science & technology ecosystem.
DeepClimate aims to generate a qualified pipeline of science-based and disruptive technologies required to advance the climate agenda and position Brazil as a global provider of climate solutions.

DEEPCLIMATE BRAZIL PANORAMA
The DeepClimate Brazil Panorama is a national mapping of climate solutions developed through scientific research, innovation, and advanced technology.
It is an open-access publication with the following goals:

Generate intelligence for Brazil’s climate deeptech ecosystem.

Increase visibility for solutions among markets, investors, and strategic stakeholders.


Contribute to data generation that can inform public policy and guide investment in climate-oriented science and technology.
This mapping also serves as an entry point for scientific ventures that wish to apply for the DeepClimate acceleration program, gaining access to markets, technical support, and specialized technological development.

There are four priority thematic areas: Land use, agricultural decarbonization and nature-based solutions; Industrial and energy decarbonization; Water, sanitation and the blue economy; and Climate-related disasters and climate justice.

predictive models and early-warning systems (wildfires, floods, droughts, landslides); and technologies for post-disaster natural resource diagnosis (water, soil, air pollution)..

Examples of innovations:
technologies to improve water access and quality (purification, watershed and river treatment, sanitation, pollution control, reduction and reuse solutions); ocean-based carbon capture; and conservation and restoration of coastal biomes.iomes.

Examples of innovations:
carbon capture and sequestration technologies; solutions for energy transition and security (biofuels, consumption reduction, renewable energy, smart grids, batteries); low-carbon processes for cement, concrete, logistics, and packaging.

Examples of innovations:
biotechnologies (biofertilizers, biopesticides, biofeed), innovations for socio-bioeconomy value chains, precision agriculture, afforestation and restoration technologies, and supply-chain traceability solutions (deforestation, human rights, raw material sourcing, carbon emissions).

Acceleration Tracks
Beyond he mapping, DeepClimate offers acceleration tracks that will support science-based ventures throughout a 6- to 12-month journey in 2026.
These tracks combine technical development, business strategy, and tailored mentoring to help deeptechs evolve from research to real-world application.
Participants will take part in practical workshops on topics such as go-to-market strategy for scientific solutions, impact measurement and climate metrics (tCO₂ reduction), intellectual property and regulatory pathways, fundraising and blended finance, and pilot implementation.
Along the way, a vibrant community connects innovators, corporations, and investors through exclusive gatherings and networking sessions that spark collaboration and partnerships.
